Further Information

Norse Mythology

  • Harðgreip is the name of a jǫtunn in the Þulur. She is the daughter of Vagnhǫfði and the wet-nurse of the Danish king Hadding and his companion. One night, when an enormous hand pushes itself into the hut where Hadding and Harðgreip are staying during one of their journeys, she is able to keep the hand away because of her strength. [1]
