Gullfaxi ('golden mane', 'golden horse') is the horse of the giant Hrungnir, who challenges Óðinn to a contest on Sleipnir. In the Þulur, Gullfaxi is mentioned as one of the horses of the Æsir.

Gullfaxi is also used as an Icelandic horse name
