Sigfridus Aronus Forsius (also Sigfrid Aron Forsius, ca. 1560 - 1624), Finnish-born Professor of Astronomy in Uppsala, Sweden. His 1611 manuscript propounding his theory of colours was discovered in the Royal Library in Stockholm in 1969. The main-belt asteroid "3223 Forsius (1942 RN)" discovered by Yrjö Väisälä on September 7, 1942, was named after him.
